Firm Foundations

A Bible study for kids who want to become firm in their faith

Thanks for tuning in to Firm FoundationsFirm Foundations is a five lesson Bible study to help you to become firm in your faith in Jesus Christ. In the Bible, the apostle Paul encourages us to ". . . continue on in the faith, firmly established and steadfast" (Colossians 1:23).  Jesus, too, talked about building a firm foundation when he said, "Therefore, everyone who hears my words and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house upon the rock.  The rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and slammed against the house; but the house did not fall, for it was built upon the rock" (Matthew 7:24, 25)

Jesus wants your faith in Him to be rock solid and able to stand strong against all of the many storms of life. He says that in order to be rock solid, we need to obey His words, and we can learn his words by studying the Bible, the holy, Word of God.  As you play the puzzles and word games in the lessons that follow, you will be learning much about the Bible and building a Firm Foundation for the rest of your life.

Now, in order to do the lessons, you will need to print them onto paper – you won't be able to answer them on the computer. When you have completed all five lessons, please let me know so that I can send you an autographed picture of Hezekiah and me, and an official, Firm Foundations Diploma that you may frame and hang on your wall. Here are some ways that you can "let me know" that you have completed the lessons and earned your free stuff. . .

1).  Send the lessons to me and I'll look them over and send them back with your free stuff.

2).  If you have a scanner, you can scan the lessons and send them to me as an email attachment.

3).  Have your mom or dad, pastor or Sunday school teacher send me a note (hand written or email), saying that you have finished the lessons satisfactorily. (How will I know that your mom, dad, pastor or Sunday school teacher really wrote the note and that you didn't just write it yourself?  Easy.  I'm a dad, and dads always know these things.)

Can I Get Help?  I realize that some of the questions or word puzzles may be pretty hard for some of you, especially if you are under 8 years old.  Please know that it is perfectly fine for you to ask a parent, pastor or teacher to help you with the answers, in fact; I think it's a great idea!  The main thing is that you learn the important lessons in each lesson.
